Welcome to the other side of the looking glass.

It is here where you finally see what has been hidden from you for so long. The truth and the image of the puppeteer are now no longer in question, instead these realizations will now determine · after everything is said and done · whether or not you are better off because of your new-found knowledge.

Welcome to Angelus: The War of the Will.

This is a time in our history when the final preparations are being made to address the coming of the end of days, the Sin War. Angels have spilled the blood of their kind, as well as mortals, since the dawn of time. Yet, each and every one of them understands the fundamental truth that the reckoning is at hand. Whether that brings salvation and redemption or a living hell of tormented nightmares is still in question.

The Planes of Divinity:

All of the planes · with the exception of Paradise · are interconnected with each other. However, each section within the Planes of Divinity · Paradise, Eden, Purgatory and the Inferno — are all very distinctly different from one another.

While each plane is unique, they seem to mirror the characteristics and attributes of angels. Eden reflects the sin of angels, while Purgatory shows the anguish in their hearts. Paradise mirrors the hope of their kind, while the Inferno the violence and desperation.

It is in these different traits that make up the planes which makes them so appealing to angels, so comforting for them.

The Annals - Page 1:

Every story has a beginning and this is no different with Angelus: The War of the Will.

In the beginning, there was Lucifer, the most perfect, most beautiful and most loved angel of all. However, while other angels succumbed to their envy and greed, Lucifer reveled in his pride. It wasn't long before the lines were drawn and those who believed Lucifer was everything that he claimed he was took up arms to defend his position. The others · under the leadership of the envious Michael · were set to oppose his ascension. Those who followed Lucifer became known as the Descended, or Legion, while Michael's faction was deemed the Ascended. The event horizon had been passed and there was no going back.

The Annals - Page 2:

And so began the War of the Proud, a war that scorched the lands of Paradise, showing Nomine that angels were not what he had intended. As soon as Michael delivered the finishing blow to Lucifer, Nomine · in an epiphany · created Eden, Purgatory and the Inferno. Lucifer and his forces were cast into the Inferno, where he would eventually set up his own court and Hierarchy of archfiends. Ever since that moment, angels have used coercion on mortals to help fight their war with each other.

The struggle between the two factions continues to this day, however every angel knows that the time of reckoning is at hand. It is now · during the War of the Will · when each and every angel must make the decision as to who they will follow and believe as the Hierarchy moves closer to the Sin War, the time of revelations.

The Angelic Hierarchy:

Although mortals have had their own ideas of the Hierarchy that comprises angelic society, few · save some Hebrew cabalists · actually got it right.

The Hierarchy of the angelic society is not just a distinguishable list of ranks, but the collective of their society. All ranks from the lowly cherubim and seraphim, to the respected dominion and archangel flourish as a part of the angelic Hierarchy.

The Silence:

After the War of the Proud, Nomine turned away from his original creation. Angels, in his eyes, are a failed attempt at perfection. Despite his calculations, angels were inherently created with wrath, pride and envy.

This led angels to take the first step into dissonance, eventually resulting in their fall. Because of their actions during Lucifer's rebellion, Nomine removed each and every angel from his sight and sound.

No longer can they hear his words or bask in his warmth. They are trapped in an eternity where that which created them, that which loved them, has rejected them. That which made them divine is no longer present in their lives. Do they cease to be divine? Do they cease to be?
